COCO Phase Ⅲ Power Plant
The COCO Phase III Power Plant is located at the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, about 150 kilometers southeast of Bangkok. With a unique hybrid technology where natural gas fired gas turbine power plant and coal fired thermal power plant were integrated as a plant with a total rated output of 550MW, GLOW SPP Public Company Limited (formerly, The Cogeneration Public Company Limited), the Owner of the plant who is one of the largest IPP player in Thailand as of 2003, is providing approximately 60% of electricity to EGAT, and the other electricity and steam to near-by industrial users. Marubeni was awarded the full-turnkey contract in 1996, 1997 and the plant has been successfully completed in 2000. |
