PPN347MW Combined Cycle Power Plant
This is one of the limited IPPs (Independent Power Producer) which have been succeeded in India.
Marubeni is an equity shareholder (26%) and also was awarded the EPC Contract approximately US$ 230 million as Prime Contractor.
In the above contract, we tied up with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. for the supply of main equipment who is one of the largest gas turbine manufacturer in the world and construction was completed in April, 2001.
Since then the Plant is under commercial operation in good condition and we have been collecting the electricity charge from Tamil Nadu Government. |
